  8. INSTALL.EXE - unZIPs files for ya (Just if your to lazy to do it your self)
  9. DOOM.ZIP - Contains SETUP2.EXE for DOOM 1.666 or above
  10. DOOM2.ZIP - Contains SETUP2.EXE for DOOM II 1.666 or above
  11. HERETIC.ZIP - Contains SETUP2.EXE for HERETIC 1.0 or above

  13. Background:

  15. v1.00 - This first version was a load of crap. I wrote it because I needed
  16.         a program that would allow me to play Doom II in turbo mode and use
  17.         a WAD file over the modem. Since id's doesn't allow that.
  18. v1.01 - Added a couple of options and color.
  19. v1.02 - I got a Null-Modem cable! Added Network and Null-Modem support.
  20. v1.03 - Added allot of options.
  21. v1.04 - Added more color and a couple more options.
  22. v1.05 - Totally rewrote code. Added more options. All parameters that DOOM II
  23. beta    offers are used. Added summary of the options selected before loading
  24.         game. First public release.
  25. v1.05 - Contains versions for DOOM, DOOM II, and HERETIC. Installation program.

  28. Futer Versions:

  30. v1.06 - Will generate a Responce file instead of passing parameters through
  31.         a commmand line. !Be warned that if the command line gets to long DOS
  32.         may cut off some parameters! Chat mode for Null-Modem, Visual Basic 
  33.         doesn't like to open the COM port with Null-Modem on it. Better docs.
  34. v2.00 - Maybe....Popup windows, selection boxes etc... real neat graphical
  35.         stuff. Maybe a long time for this since it will take a while. Maybe
  36.         not at all.
